Assuming this is a typo and you are speaking about the 80-210mm f/3.8-4, I believe this is an old (discontinued 1987) manual focus lens using the Adaptall 2 mount system. You will get NO exposure metering on a D50 with non Ai-P manual focus lenses.
This is my third attempt at making a time lapse video. I used a NikonD50 camera with a Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm lens. The camera was controlled by Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 at a 10 second interval. I then used Quicktime Pro to put all the stills together. The frame rate is 10fps.
Hi I just recently bought the Nikon Coolpix P90 and love it , however I’m already looking for an up grade. Been looking at reviews and photos from the Nikon D40/D50 , but can’t decide what camera is better both cameras produce stunning images, easy to use and are in the same price range.
Could so one tell me which camera to go with, I love music/nature photography if that helps any thanks!
The Nikon D50’s main advantage over the the Nikon Nikon D40 6.1MP Digital SLR Camera http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KJQ1DG?ie=UTF8&tag=digitsy-marina-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000KJQ1DG
is in the area of the number of lenses that it can autofocus with. The Nikon D40 does not have a built-in AF motor, so can only autofocus with lenses that have their own focusing motor. The Nikon D50 also has the benefit of 5 autofocus points, as opposed to the D40’s three.
